We are the Poolesville Piranhas
Poolesville's small town values and inviting character are strong influences on our swim team. We aim to cultivate a positive family environment where children can learn good sportsmanship, develop better aquatic skills, build their confidence in and out of the pool, and forge long-lasting friendships across our community.
The Piranhas are dedicated to developing its team members as aquatic athletes. We seek to foster respect for each Piranha swimmer and those on other teams, for all swim meet officials/volunteers, and for the sport of swimming overall.
Piranhas team members participate in swim meets and various social activities throughout the summer such as pep rallies, team breakfasts, and more. Swimmers practice in the pool with dedicated coaches who help them learn/improve their strokes and get them ready to compete in MCSL meets.
The Piranhas emphasize the concept of teamwork and strive to provide fun, meaningful competition for all its members. The Piranhas are sponsored by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation, Aquatics Program.
