Anyone who did not participate on the team last year must attend a new swimmer evaluation session.  Evaluations are first-come, first-served (sign in upon arrival at the pool).  Those approved by the Coaching staff for meeting the minimum requirements will register with Montgomery County Recreation at the cashier window immediately following their evaluation.

 8 & Under swimmers: must be able to swim one continuous length (25 meters) of the pool using a coordinated stroke and rhythmic breathing and be able to float on their back.

9-12 Year Old swimmers: must be able to swim one legal length (25 meters) of freestyle with good rhythmic breathing and one length (25 meters) of backstroke.

13 & Over swimmers: must be able to swim two continuous legal lengths (50 meters) of freestyle with good rhythmic breathing and two continuous legal lengths (50 meters) of backstroke.

Due to the impending weather, Coach Tara has made the tough decision to pull our team from the parade. THE PIRHANAS WILL NOT BE MARCHING. Thanks to everyone who was ready to come out and represent. We look forward to better weather next year!

The Curran Family has graciously offered to host the Divisionals Team Breakfast at their house (14900 Mount Nebo Road).  This will be a pot-luck breakfast open to all swimmers.  Please bring a dish (let us know what you're bring by selecting an item from the list.  And if we forgot something that the kids will love, please select "Other Dish" and bring it!) and bring a chair. The Currans have a pool that will be open for swimming.   We ask that all swimmers are accompanied by an adult chaperone.  Please park in the front yard.

Get ready for our second pep rally of 2023! The theme for the week is Hawaiian – time to bring your aloha spirit (and outfits) to the pool!

Since this is a pot luck event, we're asking all families to bring a dish to share and bring your own drinks. And if you want to be comfortable, don't forget to bring your own chair to sit in. Come with team spirit to energize the Piranhas for their final dual A meet the next morning. This pep rally will be a fun evening for the whole family!

FYI – since this is not a swim practice, if your child would like to swim, you'll need to pay the entry fee for the pool. We know there's some confusion around swimming at social events. According to County policy, the kids are not be allowed to swim at such events (Coach Tara's posts will always reflect that policy). However, our very kind lifeguards don't seem to mind if kids swim, again as long as you pay the entry fee for your child.
